Our Story

RD’s Burgers opened in 2011 with a simple promise: serve old-fashioned burgers at their best to the Cibolo–Schertz community. What started as a small, fast-casual spot quickly became a local ritual—known for friendly faces at the counter, food that comes out hot and fast, and a vibe that feels like home.

Our patties are hand-formed thick and juicy, made with locally-sourced beef from Boulder’s Meat Market. Each bun is custom-baked by VTO Bakery, sliced fresh, buttered, and toasted on the flat-top so it lands on your tray warm, golden and a little bit glossy. Add crispy fries or onion rings, a shake on the side, and you’ve got the classic Texas burger experience—done the RD’s way.

If you’ve heard of us beyond town lines, it’s probably because of The Juggernaut—our legendary challenge burger. It’s a Texas-sized feast that stacks three 1-lb patties with melted cheese and bacon, plus a side of chili-cheese fries, onion rings, and a 24-ounce shake. Finish it in under an hour and you’ll join a very short list of champions.

Still, most folks come for everyday wins: a double with grilled onions, tots done just right, a chicken sandwich for the kiddo, or a classic shake after a long week. Whether you’re grabbing lunch on the go or settling into a booth with family, you’ll get the same quick service, generous portions, and genuine small-town hospitality that made RD’s a staple for more than a decade.
